Hello All,

Well I have to be honest here. I’ve never really been a big Facebook user. I actually set up a Facebook account just to keep up with what was going on with my family and friends. But something interesting happened the other day.

I was talking to a friend of mine who has a small business and he told me that he wanted to start a Facebook Fan page. He admitted that he was a total non techie and didn’t even have an email address. Wow…people don’t have an email address?? How is that possible? He made me feel like a techie genius!

Well, being the good friend that I pride myself on being, I volunteered to help. After all, I knew how to set up a Facebook account, so setting one up for a business couldn’t be that difficult. Well, it’s not that it was difficult, but it was time consuming. There were tons of things I had to look up, and I did make a few mistakes. Well, three hours later, we had a fan page up, but in all honesty, I knew there were so many other issues to address (like traffic!!)

So what did I do? Spent the next few days researching Facebook fan pages of course. Well, my downfall always is that I just can’t buy one ebook and be done with it. No, I have to learn EVERYTHING there is to learn, compare the ebooks, decide which is the best one, then tell everyone about it. (Could it be the teacher in me?) I don’t know. Now I’m not an expert yet, but I’m telling you I see some tremendous possibilities here. Oh, did I mention that Facebook Fan pages are indexed by the search engines? Yes, another important thing to know before you start yours…keep those keywords in mind.

Wow, this local marketing stuff is the new be all and end all…the latest craze online…the easiest new way to make money! BUT…is it for you?

OK…here’s my opinion. Three years ago, I decided to help my neighbor who owned a pizza restaurant develop a presence online. I set up an autoresponder for her and took on the task (since she was a friend) of sending out email promotions for her. It was a disaster. For me. Not for her. Why?

Because I set it up all wrong. I didn’t make it clear to her that this was a business venture and my time was limited. So it became a daily ritual for her to call me with new ideas for her emails …well, you get the picture.

I knew that this was a very valuable service that I was providing but I didn’t have a structure in place. No rules.

Now I wasn’t doing this to make money. I was using her as a test to see if I could take this idea and develop it further. But I was so turned off by the idea of dealing with “customers” who were going to call me and bother me all the time, that I gave up on the idea. I did not want customers.

Now, don’t get me wrong. Some people are okay with customers. And now there are plenty of programs out there that are structured and tell you what to do. And there is tons of money to be made in this niche for obvious reasons. And it is an easy way to make money if done correctly.

I’ve been reading thru all the sales pitches over the past few months and some of the programs are great. But I still don’t want customers. I guess Russell Brunson was thinking of me when he developed his new program. You market to local businesses, but just send them to a website. Pretty much automated. I like that. Article writing is still my favorite way to make money online and to build a list. Why? It’s fast, it’s easy and it works!

So that’s why I continue to buy ebooks published on the topic of article writing…I want to keep on the latest news on one of my favorite topics!

Just bought Article Dominance by Mark Thompson, the guy who developed Wordpress Goldmine. It’s a gem and I highly recommend to take a look at it here.

Many people are confused by all the different “rights” products on the market today.

So let me take a minute and give you a brief definition of the most popular ones, but make sure to read any license agreements that come with the products you order, because some authors may include different guidelines.

Private Label Rights give you the most flexibility with a product. When you buy a PLR product from someone, you’re allowed to edit and change the information as much as you like and put your own name on the product. This is one of the fastest ways to create a product. Simply buy a PLR product and change it to suit your needs.

If it’s a written product, you’ll generally get the Word .doc file, which allows you to easily edit and improve the content. If it’s an audio product, you’ll generally get the MP3 or WAV file and can add your own introduction and conclusion to promote yourself and your products.

Master Resale Rights allows you to resell the product and keep all the profit. These rights often allow you to offer the Master Resale Rights and Resale Rights to your customers. That allows your customers to follow in your footsteps and resell the product as well.

Resale Rights are the least flexible. If you own the Resale Rights to a product, you have the right to sell the product and keep the profit, but you can’t offer your customers the same rights. You have the rights to sell the product without making any changes to it and that’s it.

Owning rights to a product can be very profitable. If you have a choice, Private Label Rights are the best rights to buy. Owning the PLR for a product allows you to resell the product as is, create a new product almost instantly and then offer your customers any of the rights you choose.
